Stay Connected And Informed Via The Internet

There are virtually hundreds and hundreds of millions of sites on the world wide web. Any possible topic you would like to discuss, explore or peruse is available. Not just one site on a topic but virtually unlimited. Do you want to make a craft, or dinner or teach a subject, just Google the topic and a wealth of information will follow.

I teach a group of eight to twelve year old girls each week. We do humanitarian projects, go on field trips, do crafts, visit the sick, learn to cook and sew and a host of other topics, where do I get my ideas? Almost every week I turn to the internet. Today we are making fairy paper dolls.

I Googled “Paper doll print out” and pages and pages of sites popped up. In days gone by, I would have had to driven to the library and hoped they had one pattern available for copying and then go to the copy store and make patterns. I did the same hours worth of work in less than five minutes and I am ready to go with my girls today.

Keeping people connected is definite by-product of the internet. Facebook has has over 103 million users. How did I find that number? I Googled “Facebook statistics” and bam there it is. In 2007 there were 20 million users, 2 and a half years later 103 million users.

People have harried lives, we would all love to spend every day having lunch with friends and family, but no on has the time, instead we keep connected via the internet through sites like Facebook. Even more staggering is that this time last year there were only 42 million users on Facebook. Soon the world will be connected via Facebook.

Finally, governments and organizations are being forced to be honest as the internet with youtube, in particularly shows immediately what is going on with any given country, riot, demonstration, war, gathering, courtroom, schoolroom etc.

Whether or not we have lost our privacy is a topic for another article. Whether you are looking for reviews on orange soda or your favorite restaurant, Google your topic and enjoy the plethora of information.
